THE ESSEX HOTEL – Chicago, IL

Just steps from Grant Park,  in April of 2019, the  $250 million project that included the transformation of the old Essex Inn into a “luxury lifestyle hotel” in the South Loop opened.

The Essex Hotel includes the SX Sky bar and the Grant Park Bistro.  The hotel’s bilevel lounge, SX Sky Bar, occupies the fifth and sixth floors of the adjacent Essex on the Park apartment complex.  The Bistro includes a 40-seat dining room looks into the open kitchen. A 26-seat bar area sits next to a cafe. In the summer, an outdoor patio that can accommodate up to 40 diners will line Michigan Avenue.

The principals of S2O Consultants provided complete foodservice planning and design for all the food and beverage facilities in the hotel.
