CHURCHHILL DOWNS – Louisville, KY

Known as the home of the Kentucky Derby and the Kentucky Oaks, Churchill Downs Racetrack conducts Thoroughbred horse racing.  The multi-year projects (2011-2019), exceeding $4,000,000 in foodservice equipment expenditures, included the renovations of many areas: the second-floor concessions; third, fourth and fifth floor bars, clubs and pantries as well as the sixth floor “Mansions” ultra-luxury space.

In 2021, S2O was brought back as a valued partner to work on three additional projects, with foodservice equipment valued over 3 million dollars and total construction costs over 245 million on this phase alone. One project was completed in time for the 2022 Derby, one is in entering the construction phase for the 2023 Derby and one is in design for the 2024 Derby. S2O Consultants was hired in to provide complete programming, planning and design of the food service facilities as well as construction documents and administration.
