UNIVERSITY OF CHICAGO LABORATORY SCHOOLS – Chicago, IL

The University of Chicago Laboratory Schools is a private, co-educational day school in Chicago Illinois. It is affiliated with the University of Chicago. The Laboratory Schools were founded by American educator John Dewey in 1896 in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Chicago. It is considered one of the top preparatory schools in the United States. The renovation/expansion will support the enrollment growth from 1,750 to 2,050 students. The renovations included approximately 315,000 SF of existing space and new construction of 224,000 GSF of new space.

The principals of S2O Consultants were hired to provide complete programming, planning and design of the kitchen and servery as well as construction documents and administration.
